I started sewing a few years back when my husband & I were moving
and in lieu of purchasing a new couch I decided to tackle slip covers.
Shortly there after, I was introduced to kntting and started making
needlecases as gifts for fellow knitters when someone suggested
I could sell them. I had an open studios approaching and unable
to go into a darkroom (due to the impending arrival of my daughter)
I decided - why not! Open studios went okay, my daughter cooperated
by coming early and sleeping through much of it under of course a
blanket I had made for her, which led a vistor said "hey you could
sell those" and the cycle was started. Recently, I've added booties
and hope to add bedding in the Spring of 2008 plus more girlie stuff
as my self taught sewing skills improve!
